WETC Research Fellowship

Call for Research Proposal Nepal has tremendous potentials in utilizing its rich natural resources; however they are still to explore. Use of insecticide and pesticides in agriculture sector is also crossing its threshold of health safety deteriorating the ecosystem harmony. Water Engineering and Training Centre, WETC believes that the research is the foundation for all development activities and is essential to explore factors involving healthy system. To promote the research activities, WETC announces the establishment of WETC RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP on the occasion of 20th anniversary of the company for the students of Master’s level to promote young and dynamic researchers in following two sectors. Research facilities will be provided for the application of Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry in either of following two sectors. With ICP-OES, we're equipped to analyze samples with unparalleled precision and efficiency, opening doors to a world of scientific exploration and discovery. From environmental samples to materials testing, our capabilities just got a whole lot stronger!

Refresher Training On Water Treatment Plant Operation And Maintenance

WETC successfully organized 4 days training on Water Treatment Plant Operation and Maintenance for Water Quality Management, Implementation of ISO 9001, 17025, ISO 17001 and DFTQC/ BIS Standard and other related ICAO/ WHO Water quality guidelines. We also provided training on Iron testing by HACH Kit, demonstration on Chloride, Ammonia and Microbiological Analysis.

Completed the 5-day NeAs Project’s Laboratory Training

Completed the 5-day NeAs Project's Laboratory Training, organized by the Finnish Environmental Institute, from September 10th to 14th, 2023, in Kathmandu, Nepal. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organizers for putting together such an informative and well-structured program. We would also like to thank our trainer, Ms. Riitta Koivikko, PhD, Senior Specialist at Syke, for her dedicated efforts. This training has not only enriched our understanding but has also fortified our commitment to advancing our laboratory practices towards a more sustainable future. The expertise and dedication of the instructors were truly inspiring.
